I went to Comic Con a few years back and saw one of the breakout sessions on
VR; there were some interesting things being done. A company in Utah had a
VR park; imagine a space with rooms, hallways, textures, and physical
attributes. Now, imagine creating a VR world that had the same rooms,
hallways etc. You'd be walking in a VR environment, but there'd be a
physical door where the virtual one was.
It sounded a little vapourware, but felt like the shape of things to come,
once the tech catches up. It always does.
