DW>It angers me that there are breeders out there that take
DW>advantage of newbies like myself and the nice people that
DW>got your Eleanora. It really makes it difficult for good breeders
DW>like yourself. They will think they have gone to heaven with
DW>one of your babies. I was ready for Meggie to react like
DW>the other bird I had and could not believe how wonderful
DW>she was and is.
I got a neat t-shirt with an AG embroidered on it from this
particular couple today with a very nice note.
It read:
"Thanks for everything! Your babies are specieal :) Both
of our girls are so sweet. More breeders should be like you.
We hope you like the shirt. Thanks again, Richard & Sandy"
DW>Did you know I have a ghost in the house that likes oranges,
DW>crackers and various other things?
A ghost with the ititials..... MW?!?
DW>Meggie WILL NOT step up on my left hand for love or money.
DW>Which hand did you use for her when you had her?
I use the left hand - although for the right-footed babies, the
right works better. I never realized the left hand would present
a problem but I can see that the babies are reluctant (in the
beginning) to step up on the right hand when the new owners come
to visit. I ask them to use the left until they get the baby home.
Stepping up on a different hand will be one of the few unfamiliar
things when they leave me. The toys, cages and food will not be
a problem so the only thing they really have to get used to is
stepping up on the right hand. What I really must do is use both
hands because it seems that the right hand is more natural
for people to offer.
Love to all.
