Howdy,
Found this, posted by someone else, in FISHING conference. This is
my third attempt to get this evaluation copy to create a message. (Not
much incentive to register the sucker.) Had some comments, but they
keep going away. Here's the scoop, though:
The Washington Times ran an article recently that I thought you folks
might be interested in.
"Eating Fish May Benefit Psyche: Tie to depression, hyperactivity seen
Fish, already recognized as a food healthful for the heart, may also
help prevent attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and depression
according to new research.
Purdue University researchers have found that boys with low blood levels
of omega-3 fatty acids are more likely to have learning, health and
behavior problems consistent with attention-deficit/hyperactivity
disorder (ADHD).
And scientists from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) who
specialize in the study of essential fatty acids and the central nervous
system suggest that lower dietary intake of omega-3 polyunsaturated
fatty acids may increase the risk of depression."
In case you may not have guessed already, one of the best sources of
omega-3 fatty acids is fish. Fishing isn't just fun, it's also good for
you.
