I never really looked for them until this year we I got TweeTV, and they
move right in and set up house.  I'm hoping this pair returns to have
another brood.

I wouldn't call myself an avid bird watcher but it's hard not to be aware
of them here.  My favorite probably is the common mockingbird, because they
just seem to like to find a nice podium and belt out song for long periods
of time.  Owls, osprey, and bald eagles are often seen, and the turkey
buzzards are magnificent in flight if not at their roadside dining table.

I saw a pic of the pileated woodpecker in the paper a few days ago, along
with the painted bunting.

I use to run grackles off, but Jennifer says they are angel birds and I
better be careful. 

Hummingbirds are plentiful as well, I thought one was a bee flying by my
head but it was a tiny bird smaller than my little finger.

BtwI have seen what I think might have been bobcat tracks, you haven't been
visiting nearby, have you?
