        They could be satisfied with what they get because they are
repeatedly told that what they get is the best (or leading/cutting
edge) available, and because they don't know of anything else:  the
commercials with the nuns mention IBM, not OS/2.  And if you go to
an IBM store, you'll see IBM hardware installed with MicroSoft
software (that's what I've been told).  So how are customers supposed
to know that OS/2 exists?

I had ruled the battery out because I never lost any of the other C-MOS
settings.  I'm willing to try anything now.
I'll get a new battery and cram it in here.  Thanks for the reply
