Yup. & to prevent a pacemaker from working.

Dunno. It's down to the electronic ignition. old style ignition systems are fine.

However on the road itself (the main road twixt Pickering & Whitby)
there is a sod off great sign each way stating that you should not proceed
any further if you have a pacemaker as.......i.e. if one has a pacemaker
one cannot travel the direct route twixt Pickering & Whitby or indeed
approach Fylingdales at all.

However the good news is that my mate from MoDPlod who works there has nice
powerfull tow truck (with old style ignition ).
