Wear & tear dear boy. Money to be made somewhere.

My guess FWIW is that your aircraft ppl are whooping with joy as proper mil
use makes the fatigue restrictions approach faster i.e. pulling more g'es
etc wears out the spars etc leading to cracking etc. Ditto the engines
etc.etc.

& that's before the effects of hot dust (esp wrt helicopters).

Then again...you're getting your money's worth as I'm sure they're cycling
the older more stressed vehicles in more often as there's no air threat
(except to helicopters) so....make sure you send the "A"
models....& hold the later models back in the US....

However...expect to see a major boost to the JSF on the basis of all those
F16/F15E'es starting to approach their fatigue life limits.

The real beaut in all this though is the one the USAF keeps trying to kill
& which the US Army keeps trying to buy off them i.e. the A-10 which
will go on & on & will probably outlast the F16 in part coz it's
designed for counter insurgency etc (i.e. all the lessons of vietnam etc).

Not sexy nor fast but once air dominance is achieved PBI like an aircraft
would can stay low & travels slow enough tat it's crew can actually see
what their target is (UK light tanks excepted obviously).
