Just because it's a bigger explosion with fusion or fission it does not
make it any more of a proof for E=MC2, nor does E=MC2 tell you how to make
a nuclear explosion. (or even describe it any better than any other
conversion). That's all I'm saying.  You seem to be hung up on the size of
the pop, but that is **irrelevant**. (More mass, more pop, and a nuclear
explosion happens to have a higher % mass conversion, it's still just
another conversion...)
