PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND ON LIST!

I would bring them to RTMC-Riverside Telescope Makers Conference. We
can arrange to meet there, or have a friend pick it up for you. With work and
play, shipping them is not feasible.

The laptops are Texas Instruments Travelmates 5000, circa 1995. They are I
ntel Pentium 75MHZ, have two open PCMCIA slots (empty), most have dead
batteries but I'll try to at least have the power cord that mates to the
computer
that you can affix a cigarette lighter plug to. They have Floppy drives (no CD),
less than a Gig of hard drive, and anywhere from 8 to 16 meg RAM. If I can find
a DOS 6.22 fresh install disk they will have that, otherwise re-formatted
and empty. The laptop runs direct from car battery, at ~3 amps.

These are being thrown away locally. I'll weed out those with broken
screens
(although they still can work with a CRT) and things like that, but not in a position
to guarantee anything. Obviously I'm not making any money on them either.

If this works for you, GREAT. Please reply to me privately.
