Don't know about the radar, but key fob transmitters are most often 433
Mhz. A late afternoon's entertainment in Europe (if your lab happens to be
located over a quick stop mart or a similar stop-and-go location). Wait
for a SmartCar to come in and a heavyset owner to go in and shop. After a
minute or 2, point a stream of 433 Mhz interference signal at the Smart
Car. The owner will exit and point and click the key fob repeatedly at
the car. Finally, he will give up and have to use the alternate entry
with a manual key opening - which on the Smart Car is the rear entry hatch.
He'll have to climb over the seats!

Not that I ever did this though
