I'm a functional manager, and as such, I'm on call 24/7. Nowadays, I can get
away with carrying a flash drive with portable apps, my important documents,
and a VPN client on a flash drive. Something goes wrong at work, I can borrow
someone's computer, plug my flash drive in, and get my work environment set up
anywhere in order to get working. Saves me carrying a laptop everywhere I go.
