Ed,
EV>I suppose You must have used Your Magic Jack Cell Phone to do that demo
EV>in the park without a Telephone Line to Your pc or a Radio.
Actually, the cellphone isn't on MagicJack. I use the "Straight Talk"
plan from Wal-Mart. The bad thing about cellphones (as well as HT's,
pagers, etc.) is that the batteries run down so quick. If someone could
invent a long life battery, as it were, they'd be set for life. More
often than not, it's cheaper to get a new phone, than to replace the
battery...which I think normally last only 2 years.
EV>Yes, I have seen them.
I couldn't remember if I had sent those to you or not.
EV>And as I wrote Tom, I wouldn't use any internet radio QSO's to try to
EV>get an award for Worked All States.....
Contesting never did appeal to me...and in the Worked All States door
on the BBS, I have a note that "Internet contacts do NOT apply toward
WAS".
OK, I'll send them off later today. I normally am not up at this hour,
but nature and a nightmare (as usual) woke me. Plus, I want to look at
the morning weather data for 2 more potential snow storms this week. I'm
just doing the BBS messages this morning...I'll do the games and the
file transfers later today.
EV>Fire them my way, my HDD isn't full yet on this XP box.
EV>... On the Train of thought, 99% are riding for half fare!
Nice tagline...I'll grab it with the shoofly. :)
