Check out the DOS util: Snipper. It stays resident (from the AEBat line
which loads it). Takes about 4200 bytes of UMB and I couldn't get along
without it. Will copy text, up to a screenful, either to an internal
cache, to be pasted later (multiple times if needed) or to a filename,
where subsequent copies automatically append to the same filename.
It's one of the old PCMag utils, and also works great in an OS/2 Virtual
Dos Machine. I can't vouch for WIN as I have zero experience with it, as
I like. {^;
Look for SNIPPR26.ZIP There is also a 27b which I found wanting in
comparison with 26, but certainly ok if that's the only one you find.
You can find it on SIMTELNET: pub/simtelnet/msdos/screen/snippr26.zip
In fact it was my Snipper that captured that reference and pasted it in
here. {^; It's almost as essential for me as LIST.COM, particularly if
you are heavy into msging. Good Modeming! /\oo/\
BTW, if you need any help with Snipper, I offer my 13+ years of
experience using it. {^;
