| subject: | Possibly why Russia wants to use the Azeri radar base |
From: Ad http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1181228591351&pagename=JPost%2FJPArt icle%2FShowFull "The satellite, called Ofek 7, was launched from the Palmahim Air Force Base and successfully reached orbit. Officials said however that it would take several days to test the satellite's systems before it would be declared operational. The satellite was launched atop a Shavit missile." y'know my position wrt "space programs" conducted by owners of H-bombs.... Note the following words & phrases: "The satellite" "successfully reached orbit" "The satellite was launched atop a Shavit missile." Thus implying that a shavit missile can put an H-bomb down anywhere on earth. Given Israel's enemies are all close...why does it need this capability in it's missiles? Entertaining how the US views as a threat a "rogue" country with no present capability in terms of warheads or missiles & Russia views as a threat a "rogue" country with both. So let's share the Azeri site & you can watch Tehran while we watch Tel Aviv.
