Hum.

(A) It would work against China & India thus forcing them into a major
warhead/missile production program

(B) It wouldn't work.....now

i.e. the capacity of the radar/c3 program can be steadily updated
"invisibly" i.e. via better s/w or under the hood upgrades &
wrt the interceptors......quietly keep building them year after year
bringing more & more online till......

At the very least you have enough of a shield to stop any Russian response
to a counter force strike.

i.e. by the "remaining" Russian assets given your ssn's may have
hit their SSBN & your missiles inc cruise etc might have hit their
silos.

A shield is not a weapon but a shield & sword combination most definitely is.
