Agreed, and when taken with the displacement of people in
Columbia and elsewhere because of drug traffickers, etc. we
have one of the best damned reasons for legalization I could ever find. 
Marijuana is already acknowledged as the largest cash crop in the state of
California.

PRobably so, but they're still displaced, lose their homes,
separated from loved ones, often unable to find meaningful
employment.

OUr war on drugs has done about as much good as this so
called war on terror.  Three decades of wasted effort and
millions of dollars flushed down the crapper.  We've
manufactured plenty of misery for Columbian peasants and
poor MExicans however.  We've separated poor families from
the inner cities from their fathers and brothers while some
Yuppie stockbroker lays the bathroom mirror on his desk and
chops a few lines for him and his buddies.  Good job!!!
