First, it relates to medical care, which is only a small subset of "health care." Second, it does not provide medical care. It provides payment. Third, it is not socialism of medical care, although Sauer's political heroes called it "socialism." ~> The system as it is is costing more and more (Twice that of other ~> countries) and something is going to have to be done. An intelligent approach to making policy is not to just do "something" but to consider what the problems are, what is causing them, and how can those causes be dealt with without creating other problems. The most basic aspect of increasing prices is an imbalance between supply and demand. Do you propose increasing supply of medical care, or reducing demand? My guess is that medical care probably costs more in the US than in Sri Lanka or Guatemala. But it might be worth more. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5a* Origin: FidoTel & QWK on the Web! www.fidotel.com (1:124/311) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 11/200 331 34/999 120/228 123/500 128/2 187 140/1 226/0 SEEN-BY: 236/150 249/303 250/306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1418 266/1413 SEEN-BY: 280/1027 320/119 396/45 633/260 267 285 712/848 800/432 801/161 189 SEEN-BY: 2320/100 105 5030/1256 @PATH: 124/311 140/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
