tom is not the only one to have been bitten by that particular critter,
either... Frontdoor when thru the same thing which is one reason why it
went thru a much needed rewrite around the 2.20 or 2.30 stage... there was
a lot of legacy code that was holding things back... the rewrite allowed
for native DOS and OS/2 versions as well as a planned route for a native
winwhatever version... i don't think the winwhatever version ever got out
of the alpha lab stage, though... if it even made it that far...
