Hi Dan, On Tue 2037-Jul-14 02:56, Dan Ceppa (1:138/666) wrote to Richard Webb: RW> were small we were told that American ingenuity and know-how, that RW> can-do attitude was what built this country. Manufacturing things, and designing them, the engineering through product shipped out the door, it all happened here in the U.S. HEll we've known what we needed to do to develop rapid rail transport in this country for close to two decades, and just now are starting to realize that to combat gridlock in some of our major cities we're going to have to look seriously at it. OF course he can't, because his leaders didn't make the investments in infrastructure needed, all across the board. All the things government says it can do for people weren't done while the corporates sold us crap and we're paying the price for that now. But hey I voted for change, and all the slogans sounded nice. Have my doubts I"ll see any. But hey we're diverted by the big screen circus, and we lament the passing of MIchael Jackson, an entertainer who was at least from the last generation of entertainers to be schooled and developed before short-term profits drove the industry. But in the same breath we extoll the virtues of Billy Mays, a guy with the hard carny pitch selling us crap.
