In 1983 I bought a well cared for Porsche 914 2.0 that was the most fantastic car I've ever owned. I remember when my neighbor bought his Fiero and parked next to me and I was amazed to see that the Pontiac was actually sitting lower than my car. Well I was able to put heavier springs on the rear and shoehorn lower profile tires under the wheelwells (205/60/15) of the little VW/Porsche and just about got it. I often wondered what the driving characteristics of the Fiero were like. Oh yes, 914s could catch on fire too and unfortunately if this happens you need to walk away as fast as possible as the magnesium alloy in the engine tends to burn very well :0 Jim Haight aka Jahmas MySTeRia MaJiCKa BBS: BaLTiMORe MD: TeLNeT://MaJiCKa.DaRKTeCH.ORG FiDO 1:229/444 --- Virtual Advanced Ver 2 for DOS* Origin: Mysteria Majicka BBS (1:229/444) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 229/444 2000 379/1 106/1 2000 633/267 |
