WH> thing I haven't done yet is use the MEMORIZE feature.
Well, transaction Memorization is something that should be automatic in
Quicken. There may be a way to turn it off, but this is something I
sure don't think you should ever turn off.
When you write a check to Joe Smith, Quicken 'memorizes' the Joe Smith
name. The next time you start to write a check, if it is to 'J'
someone, Quicken will bring up Joe Smith's name and put it in the Name
area. If you are writing a second check to Joe Smith, just tab out of the
Name area and it will be filled in with Joe Smith's full name.
When you write a check to Jack Jones, this name is also memorized. (All
names are automatically memorized.) This name will come up when the J is
entered (Ja comes before Jo). If it is to Jack Jones, tab forward. If
it is to Joe Smith, keep typing more characters and the unique name will
then come up.
That's memorization.
P.S. The Amount and any Splits from the previous check are also
brought into the new check.
... Trees moving back & forth make the wind blow.
