You have responded to a message posted over two months ago.  We had an
interesting discussion on this topic; however, Madam Moderator requested
that we drop the thread, since she deemed it off-topic.  There are aspects
of the UN issue that are tied to environmental issues, and I'd be glad to
discuss some of those with you, provided that the Moderator will permit
it.  Personally, I am of the opinion that environmental damage is a
political issue, and that it will take concerted political pressure to
effect any changes in government policy on environmental issues.  The
role of the US consumerist society is highly significant.
