True, and I'm really thinking the only thing that's gonna
bring that back is the collapse of the petroleum economy.
AS long as it can be manufactured and shipped around the
world as cheaply as it's done today there's no impetus to
change anything. AS I said elsewhere in this echo a couple
of days ago, I expect at least another generation of general economic
disenfranchisement before this crap improves. Peak oil might actually save
us.
OR should I say, the other side of peak oil.
