Right, because they weren't given the breaks that airports
were. Yet places such as the northeast corridor had to be
serviced because many depended on that passenger service.
D.C. to NEw YOrk City for example. A very popular passenger rail connection.
Imho it should be abolished and railroads encouraged, with
some tax incentives etc. to provide high quality passenger
service.
