  A lot don't, unless its in bulk.  Say by the ton. Which isn't feasible
for individuals.
  I use cloth tote bags.  Not for some eco reason but simply because I
don't want to fool around with dozens of plastic bags for a few items.
  Go to a store for milk, bread, etc and they put one or two items in a
bag.  I can fill a tote with all that and have only bag to lug around.
