| subject: | Anybody speak yacc? |
CM> Then, when the next compilation step occurs I get this from cc: CM> "grammar.y: 1708: syntax error (in preprocessor if) CM> /usr/lib/yaccpar: 119: syntax error in preprocessor if) CM> " CM> and a whole lot more of them for different lines. The shift/reduce messages are normal. They're a diagnostic, pretty much like a compiler warning - they should be eliminated if possible. However, "/usr/lib/yaccpar" sounds like part of the yacc "skeleton" parser (some have this inbuilt into the executable, others use external files instead). Sounds like it contains some syntax errors. Similarly with the resulting parser source. However, these are just normal C syntax errors. What is yacc producing that your compiler is barfing on? david --- MaltEd/2 1.0.b6* Origin: Unique Computing Pty Ltd (3:632/348) SEEN-BY: 711/934 |
