subject: if you live in California

Hello Matt,

 MM> http://regulatemarijuanalikewine.com/
 MM> regulate-marijuana-like-wine-act-2012/

MM> New proposition that sparks to put reform in Marijuana laws in California.
MM> Its way better than Prop 19 of 2010.

Potheads and winos.
In California.
Somehow, that does not surprise me.

What surprises me is this -

Why would Californians want government to regulate what they do?

MM> .. Marriage is a private choice, not American Idol.

The USSC should declare DOMA unconstitutional.
If the USSC refuses to do so, then the Congress
has a duty and an obligation to repeal DOMA.
If the USSC refuses to declare DOMA as unconstitional,
and the Congress refuses to repeal DOMA, then all patriotic
Americans should refuse to get married, as marriage itself
would then be nothing more than legalized prostitution.

Example of what marriage has become in this country -

Individuals who are on SSI are penalized if they choose to marry,
their SSI checks being docked by roughly one third. As such, folks
on SSI choose to live in sin, as they depend on the entire amount
of their SSI checks for their very survival.

In the 1990s, a Congressman brought up the idea of doing away with
that penalty. However, the bill died in committee, the votes going
along party lines. All the Democrats voted in favor of doing away
with the penalty. All the Republicans voted against doing away with
the penalty. Since Newt Gingrich and the Republicans controlled the
House of Representatives at the time, the bill died in committee
and was never brought onto the House floor for debate/vote.

Imagine that. President Bill Clinton, a Democrat. Both houses of
Congress being controlled by Democrats. Clinton waited until after
Democrats lost control of both houses of Congress to have that piece
of legislation brought up. Naturally, the bill died.

Fastforward to today. President Barack Obama, a Democrat. Both
houses of Congress being controlled by Democrats. Obama never even
bothered having such a piece of legislation being brought up. Of
course, it had never been attempted since that dismal failure under
the leadership of Bill Clinton. So why try now, even when the
Democrats are in full control of both houses? Obama knew then,
as he knows now, that the Party of No will never go along with
helping the poor in this country get a fair shake.

Democrats and Republicans are all sleeping in the same bed.
I scratch your back, you scratch mine. And don't worry about
that crazy man in the parking lot begging folks for a handout.
He ain't poor. He ain't heavy, either. And he sure as hell
ain't my brother...
