Hi, Patti,
PJ> Yup, springtime os FINALLY here. I had my doubts for quite
PJ> awhile. This winter has been very hard on me. Guess it's because it
PJ> has just kept hanging on.....one day it would be 70 and the next day
PJ> with a windchill of -10. Maybe I'm just too old for dealing with the
 PJ> drastic changes
We're still getting the see-saw weather around here, one day March and
the next late April or early May. There were even snow flurries the
other night. Brrrr! Better, though, than the downpour we had a few
weeks ago. The roof sprang a major leak and I had water leaking into the
living room at a 'good' clip. I hope the landlord gets it fixed
soon--he's got some roofing materials sitting on the front porch--but
he's slow getting around to things. He says that a number of shingles
came off in the windstorm we had about 6 weeks ago. When they bought the
place, they were told it had a new roof, but when he went up to inspect,
he found that only the front half was new. He's debating reroofing the
back half, but said there are 3 layers of old shingles that would have to
be removed.
PJ> I started a major house cleaning project, and
PJ> got about half-way through it and started feeling sick, so decided
PJ> that where ever the stuff was when I quit, then that where it would
PJ> stay until I felt better.
I need a major house cleaning project. The cobwebs have taken over. I
got about half way through cleaning at Christmas, but didn't have time to
finish. Now I could start all over. The ceiling in the living room and
dining room needs to be repainted and with an oil-based paint to cover
the water stains. This will probably happen at the beginning of July
when I'll be out of town for Mother's birthday and the Fourth. I can
imagine I will need to do some cleaning up after that!
Hope things have been going well for you.
Take care,
Robin
