| subject: | Re: Why do you run what you run? |
On 29 Oct 13 10:55:28, Kurt Weiske said the following to All: KW> I thought I'd float a poll out here to see why people are running the softw KW> they're running, and why they like/dislike what they're running? A modified version of Renegade/Y2K, D'Bridge obviously and a few other tiny little programs... all implemented back in the late 90's I think and almost-completely unchanged since then. I like that it doesn't need a babysitter; I can focus on messages, I can fix everything myself if necessary and it runs on a reliable server system I built. Watching it move-the-mail and serve BBS callers still keeps the hobby worthwhile here especially when my fan club pays compliments or some caller flames me because one file out of thousands fails to download. I have no dislikes; my system has stood the test of time and "just works".
