From my experience with OS/2 in the VMware world, it works fine provided
you don't use HPFS.  

I never figured out why the HPFS driver kills the boot in the VM, but the
new eCS supports JFS which is better anyway.  

That works like a charm, as would older OS/2 without HPFS.
