From: Filipe Silva To: Reply-To: Filipe Silva Goran, I did an annealing treatment on my 6" blank and in several others from my ATM work group (8" too). Check previous threads on this issue because the source was all in here. My problem was that we didn't have the exact glass composition so I had to use safe values. Check my calculations here: http://pwp.netcabo.pt/lafey/Recozimento.pdf The PDF is in Portuguese but understanding the tables and calculations is pretty straightforward. Don't skip any steps and do not remove the blanks while the oven isn't at room temperature. It is a good idea to use a oven for ceramics - the heating resistances in these are spires that can spread the heat better than their "metal aimed" counterparts. Hope this helps.
