->Try NBA, Dave or do you want to ignore that?
I don't follow you.
->You overlook a heck of a lot in order to *try* to make the Celtics'
->immediate future look bleak.
I'm a Celtics fan. I'm not trying to make anything look bleak. I have two
ways that I look at sports. My heart and my brain. My brain says the
Celtics will finish under .500 next year, my heart hopes they win the
damned championship! (Well, I guess I'd prefer the Grizzlies, but we all
know how likely that is :)
You haven't heard me say anything with my heart because this is a place for
debate and not for cheering. But I'm only "trying" to prove to you why I
think the Celtics immediate is bleak, I'm not hoping that it will be.
->They've got a damn good base to work with AND even if they
->lose most of the 10 players that they have eligible for free
->agency, there's still quite a bit of good talent that's going to
->be available next year through free agency (Centers like Brian
->Williams and Travis Knight are going to be too expensive for their
->former teams while Gheorge Muresan might find a
->home away from home if the Wizards decide to utilize Webber as
->their main man at center).
Boy, they'd *better* pick up a center, or they might not win more than 30,
let alone 40. I don't know what the hell ML thought he was going to get
away with last year, putting Szasbo in at center.
->You certainly have overlooked a lot of facts in order to make
->YOUR assessment.
The one fact that jumps out at me is 16 wins. I don't see the return of
Dino Radja adding 24 wins to this team, *if* he returns in good playing form.
