    I had the same problem when I change modem's and then again when I
upgraded to a 486DX4 100.
    If your hangup command is ( ^~^~^~+++^~^~^ATH0^M ) try changeing it to (
DTR ). What it does is turns the carrier from on to off and then back on 
gain
. If you are useing ( DTR ) then try the other it should work. :-)
