What are you trying to talk to it with?

doesn’t suggest it’s doing anything particularly weird.

What it seems to be is an ad blocker that uses a DNS proxy on a
Raspberry Pi. Why this would be any better than an ad blocker that runs
in your browser isn’t clear.
