I recently heard that you lost your mother, too.  I'm so

Perfect description of life, isn't the latter?  Much depends
on time and attitude there, too.
You are very industrious, wanting to make so many things.
I think a craft sale for the band's benefit is a great 
idea.  The bands here sell sausage and citrus fruit, and
they don't make as much money as you'd wish for them to.
The band at a local smaller-town high school has a small
trailer in which they and their parents take turns wrapping
gifts at Christmas, and they make a goodly amount of money
doing that.  One parent donated the trailer and they also
use it for selling hot sandwiches at the county fair, so it
has earned them some fairly good income at times.    But
crafts sell well around here.  Maybe I need to put a bug
in someone's ear about this!
We are far enough away from St. Louis not to be competition
for your son's band class, anyhow!  hehe
