Concentrating strokes towards the centre will push the lines out in the middle to blend with the edge, and produce those familiar smoothly bowing lines It would be worthwhile to do some foucault measurement and see how close you are with your correction. It would also be wise to get your tube assembly built and start star testing your mirror.
