I was going to comment on this yesterday, but didn't bother.


But.......lets look at some numbers here;


If you're getting 100% of whatever the dividend is.........but you're paying
out 110% in taxes on those dividends........that would mean you'd be paying
10% `more' in tax, than you'd be getting in the dividend.


In other words.........for every $100 in dividend you recieve, you owe $110
in taxes!


You lose to the government the entire dividend, PLUS....you pay the
government $10 over and above what you recieved to begin with.


So.....for your investment, you get to go into debt to the government every
time you get paid a dividend.


Not a very good inducement to invest your money.


And then....lets look at the oil companies:


If the government puts a 150% tax on their earnings.....that looks like for
every one million dollars they ear, they owe that million plus half a million
MORE in taxes to the government!


And these fuckin' people wonder why we think they're idiots!
