JB> Thank you for sharing your story. Since I am hearing impaired, I am more
JB> aware of what companies and corporations do for the physically
hallenged.
JB> I am generally impressed with the level of support Disneyworld provide
or
JB> the hearing impaired and for other physical conditions. As a member of
JB> DVC, I was glad to find that they had a TDD number for us to use when
JB> making reservations. When we arrive at our vacation home, we can request
JB> and receive various assistive hearing equipment to make our stay more
JB> enjoyable. When my family took my mother along, she had to use a
JB> wheelchair, and we all appreciated very much the easy accessibility found
JB> most everywhere. It is due to people like yourself, John, that makes WDW
JB> and other Disney Magical places, through meticulous professionalism and
JB> dedication, THE magical place for the physically challenged.

In my many years as an Independant Contractor with Disney... I have seen a
company that has always been "disability friendly". All the adaptations you
mention were very much commonplace before the American's with Disabilities
ct
was ever passed.
As a disabled person, as a retired business consultant, and as a retired
Executive Director of an disabled rights organization... I know what it is
like to have to deal with inaccessability of any kind. I am just glad that
Disney heard about me so many years ago (actually about 11 or so years ago),
and asked me to work with them.
Take care,
John
