I wonder if anyone agrees with me that the following charges are unfair?
With 3 way calling both carriers in this market charge double airtime. You're
not using double airtime, your phone has one xmitter and one rx.
Calls forwarded are charged airtime. Not using any airtime, no need to charge
for it.
You pay for the extra time it takes you to enter your pin code, it says so
right in the Bell Atlantic literature.
Calls to voice mail are charged airtime, no airtime involved. At least one
carrier though does allow you to retreive your messages for free from your
cellular phone.

To balance things out a bit, both carriers here provide free up to the minute
traffic info on Mass roads. *1, free call.
Both carriers offer free access to the state police thru *SP and 911.
Cellular One provides a nice service call *FYI which gives you free
information about the cellular system via a press this for that type of
system.
