-= Pete Replied to Wayne Hall about: dynalink modem =-

G'day Wayne

WH> Yes this bloody thing is finally doing what it is told. Your
WH> suggestion of "AT&K0&W" did the trick. I
actually put it in my
WH> init string so now my init string reads
AT&F1&H1&K0&W&R2X1

Don't do that, The &W command instructs the modem to write its
settings to NVRAM , Forcing the modem to do it every time it
initalises could in time damage the modem.

Better to just type in a comms terminal
AT&F1&H1&K0&R2X1&W once then
just use ATZ to recall those saved settings.

     Pete.
