I am new to both guitar and this conference, and I have a few 
questions, I realize the numbers represent the frets (read the messages 
on that a few minutes ago), but my 1st question is how do you know how
long to hold each note (4, 2, 1 beat...) And second what is the extra 
letters mean? For Example on line G what does "2su4" mean?
As for music, I have sheet music for "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of 
the Opera; "Memory" from Cats; and "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas. I can 
kind of play All I ask and Memory (choppy though ) but I just 
bought "Dust.." on Tuesday and I haven't tried it yet. (Just waiting 
for the opportunity to practise at a time when I can greatly annoy my 
husband...)hehehe  The only song that will impress him 
will be "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple..Although "Stairway to 
Heaven" is a close second! 
Well time to get off of here and practice...
