subject: arrow key response

PT>I often access the Internet through a shell account, and have been using
PT>the Telix program that was on my provider's set-up disk. I just
PT>received QmodemPro for Windows 95 for xmas, and tried to log onto my
PT>shell account but have a problem (I also own QmodemPro for DOS & it
PT>behaves the same way). The problem is that I get no response to my
PT>arrow keys. This is serious, because most actions during the shell
PT>access, are controlled by arrow keys. I tried to set QMP up the same
PT>way as Telix was set up (VT102, etc.), but must have missed something.
PT>I sure would appreciate some help on this one!
Percy:
Go to the Configuration Menu and Select Video/Function Keys and
you will see a display of all the Function Key Assignments AND also the
assignment of the ARROW Keys, particularly the 101 Grey Keys. If the
UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT fields are BLANK then you have found your problem.
Look in the APPENDIX (of the Qmodem Pro Manual) and you will find the
proper assignments for VT100 Emulation as follows:
        Cursor Up ^[[A
        Cursor Down ^[[B
        Cursor Left ^[[D
        Cursor Right ^[[C
Entering these values should solve your problem....
PT>All the best in the new year to everyone! --Percy
And all the best to you Percy....
