Yes there can. It hasn't happened as of yet but it has
been technically possible to produce such a child for
years. I read a paper (that's research not news) when
I was in college about the use of the genetic matter
from one egg to fertilizer another. IOW, you use two
eggs instead of an egg and sperm. Therefore a
fatherless child.
IMO, the only reason this hasn't happened yet are the
facts that it is illegal and very expensive.
