**** CANPOL -- The Canadian Politics Echo ****

                         Echo Rules:
                         ===========

    CANPOL is an echo devoted to the discussion of Canadian
    Politics. The echo is open to any system in Fidonet. Topics
    are restricted to discussions of the policies and practices
    of the various political parties and governments of Canada
    and their agencies, at all levels. Discussions of other public
    bodies in Canada and how they impact on our daily lives is also
    on topic for the echo.

    Flaming, personal attacks, and vulgar language will *not* be
    tolerated in the CANPOL echo. Keep your discussions civil, or
    find another forum to participate in. Any such occurances will
    be dealt with quickly and decisively by the moderator.

    Topics should stay on the stated restrictions; the moderator
    may allow some discretion on this point, but if discussions stray
    too far off-topic, the participants will be asked to return their
    message threads to the echo's topics.

    Discussions of Fidonet politics, American politics, and any other
    politics other than Canadian politics are not welcome in CANPOL,
    with the exception of discussions of how the politics of another
    nation affect politics in Canada. This can be interpreted to also
    include discussions of collective political decisions, negotiations
    and cooperative activities of an international nature, in regard
    to how they impact on Canada's political bodies and citizens.

    Discussions of moderator decisions publicaly in the echo will not
    be tolerated. Any comments or suggestions to the moderator should
    be forwarded in private to the addresses listed below.
