Never an excuse for injustice done. Some rabbi once quoted the Talmud as
saying "Fer instance ain't proof" Stayed with me. :-)

In a country of 300,000,000 mistakes are made on all sides. Crimes will
occur. Individual cases are often made to conclude universal behavior. It's
doesn't justify anything, nor prove anything. They do buttress already held
conclusions, however :-
