In addition to the information Alan gave you...   You may have to edit 
autoexec.nt and config.nt.  These two files are located in
c:\winnt\system32.  Most DOS programs will run OK in Win2000 except 
those that try to access the hardware without going through the proper 
calls to the HAL.
