Hi Dan,
Keeping my laser upright is a challange.  The first time I took it out
I sailed backwards into shore with people standing there laughing and
clapping as I crashed into shore.  OH WELL!
That was not the worse of it,  I had forgotten to put in the hull
plug,  soooooooooo, when I finally got it going the right direction,
I noticed that it was sinking lower into the water.  I finally pulled
close to a shore line of a small island on the windward side.  Coming up
along side of a fishing boat,  the wind changed direction and the main
sail jibbed knocking the fisherman off his seat.  I jumped overboard to
pull the  boat to shore and help the fisherman.  I was finally towed
back to the dock by one of the larger sailboats that was in my sailing
club.    What a day,  but I learned an number of important lessons.
