computer part? ROFL! No, seriously, I don't even know what KIND of modem
it is, let alone where we bought it or how old it is!

Not for a 386...I'm happy with a 14.4 for now. When hubby tires of his
Pentium in a few years, I'll inherit THAT and upgrade to 28.8. I really
don't need high-speed equipment to do birdy e-mail and write articles.
As long as it WORKS, I'm happy.
