Art, Several things that you do in BW launch an external application to
do that one job. Composing or replying to a messages pulls up an
external editor (of your choice), Spell checking in BW pulls up an
external spellchecker (of your choice), packing and unpacking your mail
message pulls up an external compression/decompression application. I
could go on but I think you get the picture BW depends on several
applications to help it do it's job. Instead of reinventing the wheel
George set it up to use applications that others had invented and
allowed you to choose the ones that you like. For printing he allowed
you to point at the port you have your printer connected to and use the
OS settings to run your printer.

AT> BW points to LPT 1 Setting says that the default printer
AT> for LPT 1 is the Epson.

I may not have been a clear as I should have been on this. BW printer
settings send the print command to a printer port on your computer and
the printer port settings are then used to direct your printer.

When you send something to the printer from an application it may make
some temp changes in the OS printer settings or the settings in the
printer it's self. Some applications behave better than others and
return the settings to normal when finished, but some do not. If this
happens then when you power down and power up these settings are
returned to normal. If you print something that makes one of these temp
changes then the next print job will use these settings if it does not
 make any changes it's self.

AT> Since the problem is not mission critical I will move on to

I read you loud and clear as I have been in the same boat many times.

AT> Weatherman is calling for rain turning to snow later in the
AT> day. Appears to be headed your way!

Yes we got some of the rain early evening. Our son was home (he lives
in the oldwest end of Toledo) for the day. He and I were working on a
bunch of picture frames for some of his art work. We hauled him and the
frames home and when we got to his place we had to get some covers to
keep them dry as we carried them in the house. Rained quite hard for a
little while but on the way home we ran out of the rain but road was
wet and it had rained at our house also.

... Ben

... A question: What follows 2 days of rain? Monday.
