I'm in the process of re-organizing my backups.  

All my images, file backups, etc will be location in one of two locations. 
Most on my external 8 drive storage unit (Sans Digital 8-bay).  The image
for the backup server itself will go to a physically different server. 
That way I'm covered if I can't boot the backup server itself.  :)
